daddy's hand

everything is ok when you are holding daddy's hand, isn't it?
this picture makes me think of how God is always there beside us, holding our hand,
no matter what. He is there. He is perfect and powerful and loves us like a Daddy.

Kristen loses her 1st tooth

Kristen lost her 1st tooth last week. She has been waiting and waiting and waiting...that tooth has been hanging on for a while. One night when i was putting her to bed, she said, "I think we need to call the family in". I called for everyone and, sure enough, she wiggled it out. you should have seen how big her eyes where when it came out in her hand. she was so proud.
we had started writing a story a few days before called, The Tooth that Wouldn't Come Out. now we can finish the story.
the tooth fairy came and she got $$. she brought the tooth to school the next day because she wanted to show all her friends. she almost thought the tooth fairy took it but then we mysteriously found it by the bed. you gotta let the tooth fairy know when you want to keep the tooth!

he is just 15 months & if he falls in, he can flip over.
he can also swim to the side if he is close it it.
i do pray for God's protection as we swim this summer.

Mother's Day

the best mother's day gifts are the ones the kids make. kristen was so excited to give me the portrait she made for me. cole wrote a poem for me and drew a picture. he said i was warm like a blanket on a cold winter day. i am so blessed with my awesome family.

caden hangs with it

caden spent the day at sandy lake park, AFTER his swim lesson. that kid can hang with it. he is the most adaptable kid. i try to keep him on a schedule but it is impossible with the other kids activities. he doesn't fuss when he misses his nap, he just sits there with his big eyes, taking it all in. God is so good to give us our easy going kid last! happy no matter what. love him!
