stone engagement

wow, was it fun to be a part of this surprise! joshua did an awesome job with his proposal. he took his girlfriend to the town center pavilion (just like on their 1st date) and there happened to be a couple of his friends there with their guitars. they start to play "their song" with joshua singing. then he got down on one knee and proposed. brings tears to my eyes! what a sweet boy (yes, he looks like a boy to me). after she said yes, all their friends and family came around the corner and joined in the celebration. oh please Lord let my kids turn out like the kids i met last night. it gives me such hope for the next generation to meet such an incredible group of kids.

blessed on mother's day

all i could think about today was how blessed i am to have these 3 precious children. anyone who knew me up until the age of 24 knew i did not want kids. i was going to make money and climb the corporate ladder. then i became a Christian and God put the desire for a family in my heart. i waited for my first child for 2 years and my heart absolutley ached for a child. in God's perfect timing, He gave us cole and then kristen. 5 years later, our last blessing arrived. the dream i traded was just sand that would have fallen in between my fingers. instead, the Lord gave me the priviledge of staying home to raise 3 beautiful and precious kids who i would give my life for.
thank you Lord for giving me more than i could have ever asked for or imagined.
and special thanks to angie for capturing this image by the lake at church. daryl and cole were dressed up to volunteer at church so they looked so handsome :)
