what cooperative boys! they had great smiles and did not have one complaint. turns out my husband knew them from football and camp. small world. christie, you have a precious family in a wonderful stage of life. sports, sports and more sports. what will we do when we don't have games to go to all the time?

feet

i love those little feet. i love the way your curl your toes. i love the sound of your pitter patter when you run through the house. i love how you say "all the way home" when you want me to do "This Little Piggy Went to Market". i love that your feet still look like baby feet. i love how your feet are always dirty and i love that i still have little feet that need me to wash them in the tub.

thanks for helping me scope out some new spots this morning. ya'll are so cooperative. it's amazing what a bag of sour gummy worms will do. i love the pics of kristen with the sunflowers. makes me think about your innocence and how i wish you could stay a child forever and i could protect you from the world.

that reminds me of what cole said today when we were out. kristen said, "what would happen if mom left us here?" (no, i didn't threaten to leave them, not this time anyway). cole said, "i would be here to protect you." i love that and i pray you will always protect and defend your sister!

kristen, thank you for always helping with caden. he loves you like a mommy and it shows in the picture above. i pray you will always cherish and defend your little brother.

Summer 2009

the most adorable 2 year old in the world! you are so precious i just can't stand it. yesterday you were standing on the fireplace naked (u like to take your pull up off) dancing around yelling, "EVERYBODY, look at me!" with the biggest grin on your face. today i found you in the bathroom fixing your hair by dipping my brush in the toilet and brushing your hair. and tomorrow, i know you will be 1o years old and i will wonder where my silly, precious little pickle went. for now, i am cherishing every moment. love u, buddy :)
