marty and bob

marty and bob with caden at cole's baseball tournament.
they are so sweet to the kids and the only ones i trust to watch caden. i would say they are our babysitters, but they are more like friends. i can't wait until they have kids of their own; they will be THE BEST parents!
kristen keeps asking me when they are going to get married because she says she has never gone to a wedding. i tell her to ask bob when it will be (and keep asking!)
we are so blessed to have them watch the kids so we can go on our date nights and still be able to attend what we need to without a baby in tow. they are a true answer to prayer since we have no family in town... a God send. And just like God, He not only sent us someone to help take care of caden, but He gave us 2 of the most wonderful people i know, who love our kids. thank you Jesus.
p.s. marty, one day you will understand how much you mean to me when u have kids of your own :) i love you!

caden 16 months

little man is getting with the program and learning how to sit still when momma has the camera out.
i took these in the front yard a week or so ago. caden is such a little booger. he is into everything. when it is quiet that means someone has left the bathroom door open and given him axcess to the toilet paper OR if he is really lucky, the toilet. he is a mess! we should nickname him "Mr. Tornado" right now. he can take this house apart in 5 minutes. when he throws a fit, he lays down on the floor in quiet protest or sometimes just bends over with his head to the ground. i will have to get a picture of that. it is a pitiful excuse for a fit but i'll sure take it! he is a precious boy with an amazing personality. his animal sounds are the best. i wish i knew how to post video clips to the blog. his kitty is his best one. wish i had more time to write about what all the kids are doing right now. we are having a great summer.

celebrating with friends

we celebrated with the mcdowells and miss marty and mr. bob. i am so glad james with in kristen's class this year. they are such sweet friends. they have always played so well together. we are blessed beyond measure to have friends like the mcdowells. i pray kristen and james will remain close friends and spur each other on in their walk with the Lord. i am also considering an arranged marriage. however, maybe i won't have to arrange it since she told me her and james are getting married (and she said it was his idea).

warms a momma's heart

it warms my heart to see how much cole loves his brother. he kisses him all the time (with no prompting from me... just true love).

a ride in the big truck

cole took caden for a ride in the big truck the eversons gave us. he is so careful with caden. he had his arm around him the entire time. cole is too big for it so one of his legs had to hang off the side but he drove caden all around the culd-a-sac.

caden sees a REAL horse

this was caden's first time to see a horse close up. he had so much to say about the horse (that no one could understand) but he was very excited! allaso ranch has 33 horses and trails. this horse was named "reba".

Alasso Ranch

Alasso is greek for change. It is the perfect name for this camp and a total reflection of our church, which teaches life change through Jesus Christ. I pray for the camp every time I think of it and for Barry and Ellen who have given so much of themselves to make the camp a reality. Soon, it will be filled with students and children seeking to have fun at camp and hopefully, finding God's plan for their life in the process.
Many will find eternal salvation by accepting Jesus. Some will strengthen their relationship with Jesus and renew their commitment to following Him. Lifelong friendships will be made and passing friendships that will have an impact as well.

Life Change. More like Christ. That is my prayer for every one who steps foot on the camp this summer, my own children and husband included.
p.s. there will be water in front of this building, which is the worship center. it will be filled up hopefully by the end of July.
