kristen and i had a fun day together at the mother daughter workshop put on by my mom's group. it was a day of games, crafts, prayer and one on one time. kim said so many awesome things. she compared our daughters to butterflies in cocoons. the cocoons was the rules that parents give their children and they must stay safe and grow inside the cocoon. rules don't always seem fair but the rules are only out of love. she said parents must do their part to grow and nuture their daughters.
i loved the one on one break outs where kristen and i just sat and talked. of course, she loved the craft time. i am starting a secret journal to keep in her room for the two of us to share our thoughts. i also liked the idea of "tub time" where we soak our feet in the tub and talk. i am so blessed to have such a sweet, precious daughter. i want to cherish every moment of her childhood. she is such a gift from the Lord.
